Adoptable Chase

Adoptable Chase

Meet Adoptable Chase!

Chase is a 43lb, male, 1.5 year old, tricolour, Shepard, mixed breed. Chase is one of the coolest dogs we have ever known. He has such a silly, loving, and affectionate personality, he’s so outgoing and adventurous, and he is a constant reminder and inspiration to never give up. Let nothing hold you back. Chase first came to us at RainCoast when we were in Beirut, Lebanon in 2019 working with BETA. Chase was around 6 weeks old when we first rescued him and it was clear right away he had been abused and then dumped, along with a few medical conditions that affect his back legs and walk, and ability to fully control his bladder and bowel. Although, he has made improvements through therapy for his nerves which made his bathroom abilities improve. This is easily worked with with simple access to a yard, and a waste band inside if desired. Chase can fully walk around and run, climb stairs, likes water but can’t really swim, and he can jump on and off certain small ledges outside. He loves to play with other dogs and he can play for hours and hours, and will be vocal with excitement, or he can be so quiet and just nap for hours as well. He is most comfortable with dogs his size or smaller when he first meets them, but actually loves to play with the bigger dogs more, he just takes a moment to feel safe with them. Chase loves the outdoors, no matter sun, rain, mud, sleet or snow, he’s ready to go! He prefers to be off leash, rather than on, but he does well on leash, and he does really well in the car and can travel for long periods of time without any issues. Chase has been such a big part of our lives for a while now and we know him very well and he has certain needs for his forever home. He craves to live with other dogs, ones that love to play and adventure, so he will need to have 1 or more dogs in the home. He definitely needs someone active, and that has a yard of some kind. Toddlers and young kids that make a lot of noise and sudden movements can definitely make him a bit confused snd nervous, where he may bark at them, so we are kindly asking for no kids or teenagers only please. Chase has no ongoing medical needs or medications of any kind, but acupuncture or laser therapy can always help stimulate the nerves or encourage regrowth. Chase does not need a wheelchair and will not benefit from amputation, as per many specialists results and opinions, and of ours as well. He is able to walk and run. Please only apply if you are serious about potentially placing in the care and commitment Chase needs. We know that one day our special boy find his forever home, and until that day we are happy to have with us. We love you, Chase.
